How verification works

Verification on this marketplace is a semantic distinction, not a marketing badge. The words mean specific things and we do not let them collapse into each other.

The one rule

  • Publicly visible does not mean independently confirmed.
  • Desk review is not an inspection, an audit or an endorsement.
  • Unknown stays unknown — it is never filled with a plausible number.

Publication standard

A provider may be published after editorial approval when its official website is accessible, its identity and country, region and city are sufficiently established, and at least one core service has operator-site evidence. At least one valid official source URL is required, with no unresolved identity conflict or material attribution error.

Exact street addresses, postal codes, FCL/LCL capabilities, receiving instructions, integrations, capacity and pricing are optional details. Missing information is labelled “Not publicly confirmed” and does not independently block publication or imply that a service is unavailable.

Publication and individual assertion reviews are separate decisions. Inclusion does not establish certification, endorsement, partnership or live availability.

The five states

Source review is desk research. It is not a facility inspection, a capacity confirmation, a certification audit or a commercial endorsement.

Source kinds

Evidence provenance
KindNote
Operator publishedA public page the operator controls. Evidence of a claim, not proof of it.
Provider suppliedSent to us directly by the operator. Not corroborated by default.
Third-party directoryA listing we do not control. Treated as a lead, never as confirmation.
Registry recordGovernment or commercial registry record. The only kind that can back “verified”.

What we record per assertion

Verification is stored per assertion, not per provider. A profile can have verified identity, reviewed services and unconfirmed capacity at the same time — and the UI shows all three.

Correct something?

Operators can claim a profile and request corrections with evidence. Everything is reviewed before publication.
